In an interview with Ana Francisca Vega For MVS News, it’s Friday and the body knows it with Juan Manuel Oriawhich brings us three ‘rolls’ to start the weekend.

Ready for the weekend? Juan Manuel Oria, our musical guide, selected three unmissable releases ranging from a surprise return after 16 years of silence to a nostalgic trip to the 90s with Miley Cyrus. Here the definitive list to soundtrake your next few days.

Amy Millan: A return after 16 years

Milan or Milan? It depends on whether you are Mexican or Canadian, but the important thing is that this artist returns with new music after almost two decades. His new album, I Went To Find You, includes the song “Make Way For Waves”, a relaxing song that Oria describes as “a balm for these weeks of traffic and stress in Mexico City.”

“That does not give dead to anyone … 16 years later, Milan is still surprising,” says Oria.

ANYMA FT. Ellie Goulding: electronics that hypnotizes

If what you are looking for is something more energetic but equally atmospheric, Animac (American DJ) has just launched The End of Genesis, an album full of star collaborations. Among them, Ellie Goulding shines in ‘Hypnotized’.

“An electronic and house project that is worth listening to complete,” says Oria.

Miley Cyrus: novelty nostalgia in “End of the World”

Miley Cyrus continues to reinvent himself, and this time he does it with a sound inspired by the 80s and 90s of his new album, Something Beautiful, Oria chose “End of the World”, an issue that sounds like taken from a John Hughes movie.

“Miley has a unique voice that lends itself to this nostalgic pop synth. It sounds like an instant classic!”
