The Cowboy Carter Tour de Beyoncé Highlights

Beyoncé never does anything halfway. And last night in Los Angeles, with the official start of his tour Cowboy Carter and The Rodeo Chitlin ‘Circuit TourHe reminded us why it is still an unstoppable force within the music industry. With a show that lasted almost three hours and that was as theatrical as political, as powerful as intimate, the star began a new era marked by boots, guitars, social criticism … and yes, maternal love.

From the first second, Beyoncé made it clear that this was not any concert. The show opened with “American Requiem”, among fireworks, robotic lights and screens that showed a forceful message: “claim of America.” In an image that is still going around in networks, the singer appears with a cross band with that same motto, as a kind of revolutionary queen in the southern United States.

After that powerful start, Bey took a break to thank the public and sing her “Blackbird” version of The Beatles. “Thank you for letting me make this album,” he said with emotion. “Thank you for giving me the freedom to challenge myself. It means a lot.”

Vaquera fashion, but in version Haute Couture

Let’s talk about the looksbecause obvious. Throughout the show, Beyoncé paraded with a spectacular collection of pieces inspired by the old west, courtesy of fashion houses such as Mugler, Moschino, Roberto Cavalli and Burberry. There were fringes, crystals, corsets, metal boots, oversize hats and even mechanical details. Each attire was a character, a narrative in itself, designed to complement the issues of the night: freedom, identity, resistance and female power.

One of the most mind-brlowing was Anrealage’s dress, part of his Fall/Winter 2024 collection, designed by the Kunihiko Morinaga Japanese genius. The house, known for mixing technology and fashion, created a tailored Glowing dress for Bey that projected digital fireworks and patriotic patterns and patriotic blue. Literal, a moving show.

De Burberry used a Bodysuit and Chaparreras adorned with Swarovski crystals, combined with a belt with the Cowboy Carter legend.

Blue Ivy and Rumi take the stage

The night had a deeply personal touch when Beyoncé shared the stage with his daughters. Blue Ivy, 13, stole the applause again when dancing with her mother during “America has a problem” and later in “Deja Vu.” But the surprise that melted the stadium was the appearance of little Rumi Carter, only 7 years old, who made his official debut during the emotional interpretation of “protector.”

A visual and sound tribute to Afro -descendant history

Beyond the show, Cowboy Carter Tour It also works as a story class. During the show, Beyoncé projects clips that pay tribute to key figures such as Linda Martell and Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Afro -descendant pioneers in country music and rock that have historically been ignored by the main narrative. News and racist criticism fragments are also included that emerged after her incursion into the country genre … but instead of explaining, she responds with a show.

Are we facing the most ambitious show of your career?

Everything indicates yes. There are suspended horses, lowrider cars that float in the air, giant fans in the form of golden wheels, visual that look like Sci-Fi films of the Gothic South and a soundtrack that goes from the country to the soul, from the House to the gospel, without losing identity. It is Beyoncé reinventing his own myth, pushing the limits again.

If the night one was that shocking, we cannot even imagine what comes in the following stops of the tour. Will there be more cameos from your daughters? New visuals? Unpublished looks? We only know one thing: Beyoncé does not make repetitions. Each show is unique and every presentation, an opportunity to surprise us.

He Setlist (of approximately 35 songs) was a masterclass in how to join different musical ages without losing the thread. Although the first part of the show focused on Cowboy Carter (With hymns like “Texas Hold ‘EM” and “Bodyguard”), Beyoncé did not forget their other albums: there were times to dance with the hits of Renaissanceshout with the intensity of I am … Sasha fierce and even sing nostalgia during “Daddy Lessons.”
