The most important fashion night is here. On the first Monday of May, the big stars meet at the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art on the occasion of the Annual MET gala.
The theme of the Met 2025 gala was “Superfino: black style tailor”. According to the MET, the theme honors black dandism and “the importance of clothing and style in the formation of black identities in Atlantic diaspora”.
According to Vogue, black dandism is “a fashion revolution, a movement impregnated with history, resistance and pride.” Among the hosts of this year’s event are Pharrell Williams, Lewis Hamilton, Colman Domingo and $ Ap Rocky.
Silk & Sound were on the carpet before the event to sing “Ain’t no Mountain High Enough” by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell.
A $ Ap Rocky spoke with journalists on the carpet and revealed that he and Rihanna are waiting for their third child.
“I feel incredible. It’s time for us to show people what we have been cooking. And I’m glad everyone is happy for us, because we are very happy,” Rocky said, according to Associated Press.
