Two decades have passed since “Hips Don’t Lie” was heard for the first time so the Colombian singer Shakira commemorated the 20 years of this global success next to the Haitian rapper Wyclef Jean from the Jimmy Fallon program, where she shared anecdotes, thanks and a powerful connection with her Latin audience.
“I celebrate everything with Jimmy Fallon, with my people, with the Latin public, with the audience that has accompanied me all these years,” said Shakira excited, “how good this song has turned, which changed my life in some way, now I go out to the street and I am Shakira, Shakira.”
During an exclusive interview for Al Rojo Vivo, the singer also had an emotional gesture by congratulating all mothers, especially single mothers, on the next day of mothers.
Among the good news, Shakira confirmed that his next tour of the United States will begin next Tuesday in North Carolina and promises to be “incredible”, with great invited stars and shows full of energy.
This anniversary not only revives one of the greatest hits of Latin pop music, but also shows that Shakira’s rhythm remains as strong as 20 years ago.
