Miley Cyrus and her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, gathered recently, leaving behind rumors of family tensions.
The meeting occurred during the celebration of his brother Braison Cyrus, in a farm in Tennessee.
Billy Ray shared a selfie on Instagram with Miley, Braison and Miley’s boyfriend, Maxx Morando, accompanied by the message: “Happy birthday Braison!”
Days before, Billy Ray had published an old video of Miley singing, with the legend: “I can’t wait to see this young woman. How time passes.”
Miley also spoke on Instagram on May 10, addressing the rumors of a family dispute.
On his relationship with his father, he wrote: “My dad and I have had our challenges over the years. Now, in my thirties, the family is my priority above all. I am at peace knowing that bridges have been built and time has healed a lot.”
Rumors also clarified about his mother, Tish Cyrus, who apparently had stopped following her on Instagram, saying that it was a technical mistake and that her mother is her “best friend.”
“My mom and I are too close to getting something getting between us. She is my best friend. Like many moms, she doesn’t know how to use her phone and, for some reason, she stopped following me; simple, casual and without interest,” said Miley.
Family tensions had intensified after the divorce of Tish and Billy Ray in 2022, Tish’s relationship with Dominic Purcell (which generated conflicts with Noah Cyrus) and Billy Ray’s marriage with Firerosese, which ended in divorce in 2024.
In addition, Billy Ray’s performance in Trump’s possession in January 2025 and his relationship with Elizabeth Hurley, announced in April, added more speculations.
However, Miley’s meeting and statements suggest an effort to reconcile and leave behind the drama.
