Shakira received the most special gift on Mother’s Day. His children Milan and Sasha premiered their first music video, thus taking their first steps in their career as artists.
The children of Shakira, the result of the relationship of the Barranquilla with former soccer player Gerard Piqué, premiered the music video of his song ‘The One’. The children worked in The Next Generation of Artists collective album, produced by the Let It Beat and Let It Beat Foundation! Music Academy.
The song ‘The One’ is part of Next Generation of Artists and Milan of 12 years participates, and Sasha, 10, along with the young singer Mila V.
The One is a song whose lyrics focus on a young man’s feelings, played by Sasha, by a girl. In the song the young man tries to express in every possible way his feelings for the girl but does not get results.
Before the premiere of the music video, Shakira’s children appeared in a live show at the Let It Beat gala! In The Deck Miami, within the framework of Mother’s Day. The Barranquillera was present in this musical debut of her children and of course she applauded and proud to Milan and Sasha.
It was an event in which several young people from the Academy presented their singles before an audience composed of close families and friends.
“It was deeply exciting to see so many united families, accompanying their children in their first steps on the boards. Yesterday several stars were born … and it depends on all of us to accompany them to continue to shine,” the institution said.
This song by Shakira’s children is a musical sample of her work at the Academy but is not an official launch of children with a label.
This is not the first time that Shakira’s children get involved in music. In 2024 Shakira premiered his song ‘Acrostic’, which is part of his recent album ‘women no longer cry’. In that song there is a special participation of his son Sasha who sings a part of the song and Milan accompanies him with the piano. The premiere of this song moved the public and confirmed that Shakira’s children definitely inherited her mother’s artistic talent.
