After a start of the game in which Boston took advantage arriving with 11 points both at the end of the first quarter and to the break, the Celtics collapsed in the third quarter and sank in the last minutes. Finally, game 4 of the semifinals of the Conference East closed the score 116-104 in favor of the Knicks, leaving the Celtics on the edge of the elimination.
