American Airlines announces new regulations for air travel in 2025
American Airlines has prepared new regulations for its passengers regarding their hand luggage from this 2025, which will mainly be focused on the dimensions of personal items and the maximum limit with which they may travel on board.
The airline will maintain provisions for traveling with one personal item and one piece of carry-on luggage; however, The authorized dimensions will change starting this year.

Each passenger may travel with suitcases that have dimensions of 56 X 36 X 23 centimeters (22 X 14 X 9 inches), including handles and wheels, which must fit in the overhead or under-seat compartments.
If the dimensions are not met, the luggage must be registered at the packing gate at no additional cost.
As for the personal itemthis should be a small purse or backpack and must fit under the seat in front of the passenger with a maximum size of 45 X 35 X 20 centimeters (18 X 14 X 8 inches).
Diapers (one per child), breast pumps, and medical and mobility devices are not considered personal items.
For their part, liquids, aerosols and gels will maintain the regulations established by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and must not exceed 100 milliliters per unit and be transported in airtight plastic bags.
The flights operated by the subsidiary of American Airlines, American Eaglewill have additional restrictions on the space available in the overhead bins.
