They warn about possible exposure to measles in Shakira’s concert in New Jersey

The New Jersey Health Department warned about possible exposure to measles during one of the concerts that Colombian singer Shakira offered last week at the Metlife Stadium.
The concert, which is part of the tour ‘Women no longer cry’ in the United States, was held last Thursday, May 15 at the Metlife stadium in New Jersey.
As indicated by the City Health Department, a person who does not live in New Jersey attended the concert that day being infected with measles. That is why the agency warned people who attended the concert that day that they may have been exposed to the virus, so it recommends being attentive to possible symptoms during the next few days.
The only people who must take this recommendation are those attending the Shakira concert held on May 15 at the Metlife and who were in the enclosure from 7:00 pm to 1:00 am of May 16.

It is important to clarify that if a person who attended the aforementioned concert suffers measles symptoms should call his health provider before attending any medical consultation or emergency room. This with the aim of preventing other people from being infected.
Health authorities reported that measles symptoms include high fever, cough, nasal drip, red and crying eyes, and a cutaneous eruption that usually appears between three and five days after the start of the symptoms. So far no additional measles cases have been reported in the city.
The Department of Health also urged the population to make sure they are up to date with measles vaccines, papers and rubella (MMR).
