As a program’s musical guest, Shakira returned to her roots with ‘Anthology’, one of the most iconic singles of her Barefoot albumlaunched in 1995 when I was just 18 years old. The interpretation was received with an ovation, on a night that was dyed as nostalgia and reaffirmed the timeless connection of the Colombian singer with her followers.

Hips Don’t Lie: Two decades of a global phenomenon
The presentation came one day after another milestone in the artist’s career: The celebration of the 20 years of Hips Don’t Lieits worldwide success next to Wyclef Jean. During his interview with Jimmy Fallon, Shakira talked about the impact of the song, his most recent album Women no longer cryand the beginning of its stadium tour scheduled for 2025.
“Hips Don’t Lie” was originally launched as part of the Oral Fixation album, vol. 2 and reached the first place of the Billboard Hot 100 on June 17, 2006. Since then, it has established itself as one of the most representative themes of Latin pop worldwide. Recently, Billboard named Shakira the number one artist in her ranking of the 50 best Latin pop artists of all time.

After making history in Latin America with a tour that broke box office records in March, Shakira confirmed a series of concerts in the United States. The tour includes stops in key cities such as New York, Chicago, Boston, Washington DCMiami, San Diego, Los Angeles and San Francisco, where he will end on June 30.
