Will Taylor Swift finally testify in the legal conflict between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni about It Ends With Us?

American singer Taylor Swift will no longer testify in the legal dispute between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, who revolves around the problems arising from her film It ends with us.
Baldoni, who directed and acted in the film along with Lively, decided on Thursday to withdraw his application for Swift to appear as a witness in the trial scheduled for March 9, 2026, valuing his friendship with the actress.
A Lively representative confirmed this decision to the media and expressed his satisfaction to know that Baldoni’s legal team had “retired his citation of harassment to Taylor Swift and his law firm.”
“We support the efforts of the Taylor team to cancel these inappropriate citations aimed at your lawyer and we will continue to defend any third party who is unfairly harassed or threatened in the process,” said the spokesman. He added that from the beginning Baldoni had tried to involve Swift taking advantage of his fame.
Swift had been summoned at the beginning of the month, but his team made it clear that he did not have a close relationship with the film, and said that “he never stepped on the set, he did not participate in any casting or in creative decisions, he did not compose the soundtrack, he never saw an edition or took notes on the movie, he didn’t even see YoT ENDS WITH US until weeks after its premiere. ”
They clarified that their only connection with the project was to have authorized the use of one of their songs, as were 19 other artists.
The judge dismissed Baldoni’s accusations about Lively threats to Taylor Swift
Last week, accusations of the Baldoni team arose, who assured that Lively had threatened to make public private messages with Swift if he did not provide public support. However, the judge dismissed that information when considering it “undue” and “irrelevant” for the case.
The legal confrontation between both actors began at the end of 2024 when Lively accused the actor and director of sexual harassment and inappropriate behaviors during filming.
This conflict, EFE recalled, has climbed considerably and includes a claim for 400 million dollars. Baldoni and his team have sued Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, along with her publicist, for allegedly trying to “destroy” his career.
