Blake Lively team celebrates that Justin Baldoni has retired his “inappropriate” citations to Taylor Swift

Justin Baldoni will no longer ask Taylor Swift to appear to testify in her legal battle against her friend Blake Lively, Baldoni’s co -star in Break the circle.
Earlier this month, Baldoni (41), who was sued by Lively for accusations of sexual harassment, quoted Swift (35) to testify. His lawyer, Bryan Freedman, said Lively had resorted to “her high -profile friends”, including the singer of ‘cruel Summer’, to “manipulate Justin at all times.”
At that time, the SWIFT representative criticized the citation, saying that it was “designed to use the name of Taylor Swift to attract public interest through the creation of a clickbait of tabloid instead of focusing on the facts of the case ”.
On Thursday, Baldoni’s legal team had retired the citation, and Lively spokesman confirmed the news to Peoplesaying that they were “happy” for Baldoni’s decision to withdraw “his stalkers citations to Taylor Swift and his law firm.”
“We support the efforts of the Taylor team to cancel these inappropriate citations aimed at your lawyer, and we will continue to defend any third party who is unfairly harassed or threatened in the process,” they added.
“The Baldoni and Wayfarer team has tried to put Taylor Swift, a woman who has been an inspiration for dozens of millions worldwide, at the center of this case since the first day,” they said, and insisted that “exploit the celebrity of Taylor Swift was the original plan in the planning document of scenarios of (the professional of public relations) Melissa Nathan, and continues to Today, ”they continued.

“Given the possibility of having to justify themselves before a federal court, they folded. At some point they will end the resources to distract from the real allegations of sexual harassment and reprisals they face,” they concluded.
The Independent He contacted Baldoni’s representative to collect his comments.
Lively demanded Baldoni, its director and co -star in Break the circlein January, accusing him of sexual harassment on the set and subsequently orchestrate an alleged discredit campaign aimed at “ruining her.”
Baldoni vehemently denied the accusations. Shortly after, she presented a 400 million dollars contrademand in which she accuses Lively and her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, to try to “destroy” his career and reputation.
In recent months, the two have exchanged continuous legal attacks. Days after presenting its counter -process, Baldoni’s legal team published a seven -minute video in which the interaction between Lively and Baldoni is shown during the filming of a dance scene in the film. The clip intended to demonstrate Baldoni’s innocence; However, Lively’s team replied arguing that, on the contrary, it was an “irrefutable proof” that supported the actress’s accusations.
A week later, an apology voice was leaked that Baldoni allegedly sent to Lively during the production of the film.
In March, Lively submitted a legal request so that certain discoveries made in the case were available “only for the eyes of lawyers” to protect against any filtration of sensitive information.
New York Judge Lewis Liman failed in favor of Lively’s request, accepting that “highly personal and intimate information about third parties” is only seen by lawyers. Neither Lively nor Baldoni will have access to information, which includes details about the actors, such as medical records, commercial secrets and security measures adopted by each one.
The case is expected to go to trial from March 9, 2026.
