Justin Baldoni leaves his attempt to involve Taylor Swift in trial with Blake Lively

Justin Baldoni, who acted and directed the film adaptation of one of Colleen Hoover’s most controversial books, ‘It Ends With Us’, has decided to step back in his legal attempt to involve Taylor Swift to declare at the trial he faces with the actress Blake Lively.
As confirmed by People, a Lively spokesman celebrated the cancellation of what he described as “citation of harassment” towards the singer and her lawyers.
“We support the efforts of the Taylor team to cancel these inappropriate citations and we will continue defending any third party who is unfairly harassed or threatened in the process”Said Lively representative.
Justin Baldono argued that Taylor Swift had influenced creative decisions of the film ‘It ends with us’, so the interpreter’s representative had to clarify that the star never set foot on the set of that movie.
“Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of that movie, was not involved in castings, creative decisions or the final assembly. He didn’t even see the tape until weeks after its premiere“, Said the representative, stressing that he was worldwide for 2023 and 2024.
Baldoni’s lawyers said Blake Lively threatened to filter private messages between her and Taylor if the latter did not go out to support her publicly. However, Judge Lewis J. Liman ordered to eliminate that letter from the judicial file, qualifying it as “irrelevant.”
The legal conflict began in December 2024, after Lively demanded Baldoni, accusing him of sexual harassment in the ‘it ends with us’ set and orchestrate a softened campaign against him.
In response, the 41 -year -old actor presented a defamation and extortion contrademanda for 400 million dollars, also involving Ryan Reynolds, and the publicist Leslie Sloane.
Additionally, he undertook legal actions against The New York Times after the publication of an article about the accusations, claiming that the medium disseminated erroneous and harmful information for its reputation. The trial between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni is scheduled to begin in March 2026.
