“Baby Trump, you act like a child”; migrants and deportees punish Donald Trump piñata in front of the border wall
Tijuana, Baja California.- With spankings and belts, deportees, migrants and representatives of non-governmental organizations punished a piñata of donald trump for “throwing tantrums like a child” to order that migration to the United States stop with the closure of CBP One and threaten to mass deportations.
“Baby Trump Because you behave like a child, you have to be spanked. This is how they taught us mexicans to punish, with spankings. Repent of your bad behavior, you are a capricious child,” the assistants launched before spanking the cardboard figure.
In front of the border wall Tijuana beachesthey also called for a boycott of USA on a “day without Latinos” with which, tomorrow, they plan not to watch the broadcast of the inauguration of Donald Trump, not to buy imported products and not to attend work to highlight the importance of the support of Mexicans in commercial activities.

“It is important that the president-elect understands that this program (CBP One) serves to allow the community to enter in an orderly and safe manner, not the opposite. (…) If you remove it, something more serious will happen, the community runs a lot of risk by entering irregularly.

“Likewise, we say no to mass deportations. We cannot understand how it is possible that they now take it against the migrant community. We regret these decisions,” said Jesús María García, director of the Juventud 2000 shelter.
On the wall the deportees also tied signs with legends such as: “We are not the backyard of the United States”, “Cooperation yes, subordination no” and “Trump out”. In front of them they waved Mexican flags to ask for respect from the Mexican community.

Most of the attendees are part of a group of deportees from the United States in the last months of 2024. Among them is Mr. José, originally from Michoacanwho 10 years ago migrated to Houston fleeing violence in his home municipality and, after the death of his wife, was deported by the American immigration authorities.
Like him, a couple of families arrived with minor children, men who traveled from states like Warrior and Oaxaca and single people who were separated from their families in border states of the neighboring country when they were deported a few weeks ago.
“With deportations the vulnerability of the migrant community will increase. There are criminal cells throughout the border strip dedicated to the kidnapping of deported migrants. There are other dangers to their safety because they migrate under illegal conditions.

“We cannot allow ourselves to be belittled, to ignore the reality of the migrant community because our people are the ones who raise their crops. ‘Who are the essential workers who rescued them in the pandemic?’, ‘Who are the ones who are putting out the fires right now?’ (…) The Mexican and the migrant from another country risk their lives when crossing, that is why we ask for respect,” asked Hugo Castro, coordinator of the SOS Migrantes coalition.

With these claims, the attendees beat up the cardboard Donald Trump. They kicked him, punched him, punched him, and hit him with belts. They even asked to burn it, but the action was not carried out because it was promised that depending on the immigration conditions that he imposes tomorrow, on the first day of his mandate, the piñata will be set on fire or not.
The organizations also asked the federal and local governments to create an emergency plan to contain the implications of CBP One being canceled and mass deportations beginning.
