Taylor Swift and ‘reputation’ re -regions and his 2006 debut album

Revealing that he has officially bought his musical catalog, Taylor Swift shared a surprising statement about the state of the re -recorded version of ‘Reputation ‘.
“With total transparency: I have not even re -recorded a quarter of it,” Swift, 35, wrote in a long shared letter on his website on Friday, May 30. “The album ‘Reputation ‘ It was so specific to that moment of my life, and I kept finding a stop point when I tried to rebuild it. All that rebellion, that desire to be understood as I felt deliberately misunderstood, that desperate hope, that growl and mischief born of shame. ”
He added, “to be very honest, it is the only album among the first six that I thought could not be improved when removering it. Not music, nor photos or videos. So I kept postponing it. There will be a moment (if they are interested in the idea) to emerge unpublished clues from that album.”
Swift has been constantly returning its first six albums after its former record company, Big Machine, sold the masters to a third. They only remain to be re -recorded ‘Reputation ‘ of 2017 and its homonymous debut of 2006.
“I have completely re -recorded my complete debut album, and I love how it sounds now,” Swift added in his letter. “Those two albums can still have their time to resurface when it is the right time, if that is something that would excite them. But if it happens, it will not be from a place of sadness and yearning for what I could have had. It will only be a celebration now.”
In other parts of his letter, Swift revealed that he has “been crying with joy at random intervals” now that he owns his entire discography.
“I almost stopped thinking that it could happen, after 20 years of having a hung carrot and then removed,” Grammy winner wrote. “But that is already part of the past … I can really say these words: all the music that I have ever done now belongs to me.”
The total Swift property “without ties” also extends to its musical videos, concert movies, photographs of albums and unpublished songs, in addition to “memories, magic (and) madness.”
“To say that this is my biggest dream, it is really quite reserved about it,” he said. “To my fans, they know how important this has been for me, so much that I meticulously re -recorded and launched four of my albums, calling them ‘Taylor’s version’. The passionate support they showed to these albums and the success story in which they converted The Eras Tour This is the reason I could buy my music again. I cannot thank you enough to help me gather with this art that I have dedicated my life, but I had never possessed so far. ”
Swift concluded his note thanking his fans for his “good will, teamwork and encouragement.”
“The best things that have ever been mine are really,” he wrote, citing the opening track of Speak Now. “Exultant and amazed, Taylor.”
