Miley Cyrus addresses her father’s relationship with Elizabeth Hurley and how she has matured emotionally to accept it.

In a recent interview with The New York Times, Miley Cyrus shared her perspective on her father’s relationship, Billy Ray Cyrus, with actress Elizabeth Hurley. The singer said that, although it was initially difficult, she has learned to accept her father’s happiness.

“I am being an adult about it,” said Cyrus, highlighting his personal growth and his ability to see his parents as individuals to seek their own happiness.

Overcoming the past and accepting the present

Miley acknowledged that for a long time he loaded with his mother’s pain after the separation of his parents. However, over time, he has managed to reconcile with the idea that both deserve to be happy separately.

“My children’s self has updated,” he said, indicating that he has left behind the emotions of the past to embrace the present with maturity.

The singer also addressed how public care affects her family. While she has learned to deal with media exposure, she acknowledges that it can be more difficult for her brothers and parents.

“I try to be more compassionate with my parents, because I hate that for them. And above all I hate for my brothers, because they did not choose that kind of memorable moment,” Cyrus said.
