Minecraft and Formula 1
Technology once again becomes an ally of education with the announcement of the third edition of the intercollegiales of Minecraftan initiative that invites high school students in Mexico to channel their creativity and logical thinking through the popular video game.
The proposal, promoted by Globant as part of its educational program “The Inspire Garage“, Seeks to encourage interest in Stem disciplines among adolescents from 12 to 15 years.
This year, participants must recreate racing clues, inspired by the Universe of Formula 1.. The proposal not only defies their design and programming skills within the environment of Minecraftbut also promotes values such as collaborative work and sustainable approach to digital construction.
The first phase will consist of a competition at the local level, where the equipment must replicate an official layout of the F1 calendar. The winners of that stage will advance to the international challenge, where the objective will be to imagine and build a completely new urban circuit, set in their city of origin and integrate sustainability criteria.
The contest will bring together young people from different regions of the continent. In addition to Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Uruguay will participate. Registration, available until July 25, must be managed by a tutor or guardian through the official program site. Each school can record a single team.
The proposals will be evaluated by a multidisciplinary jury at the Globant headquarters in the Mexico Cityin which they will choose the selected who can live one of the best experiences.
