Singer Olivia Rodrigo, 22, who grew up in Temecula, California, before moving to Los Angeles, joined the growing outrage by federal immigration raids in the United States.
The pop star and actress used her social networks amid the generalized protests against the customs immigration and control service, claiming alleged migratory violations.
“I have lived in Los Angeles all my life and I am deeply outraged by these violent deportations of my neighbors under the current administration,” Rodrigo wrote in an Instagram story.
“Los Angeles would simply exist without immigrants. Treating community workers with such little respect, empathy and due process is horrible. Support for the beautiful and diverse community of Los Angeles and immigrants from all over the United States. I defend our right to freedom of expression and freedom of protest.”
