“Every time the song I feel very honest,” The native of Texas added in the publication, where it appears next to a suit with two black birds, as the title of the theme.

In this sense, The song recounts the dream of freedom of black people, in an era where racism was still very latent in society, becoming a hymn for activism against racial discrimination.

Previously, Beyoncé had already played the songwhich meant the recognition of McCartney himself, who commented: “I am very happy with its version. I think it makes a magnificent version and reinforces the civil rights message that inspired me to write it.”

I talked to her for facetime and thanked me for writing and letting her do it. I told him that pleasure was mine and that I thought I had made a spectacular version. When I saw the images on television in the early 60s of the black girls being rejected at school, it impacted me and I cannot believe that there are still places where this kind of thing happens. Anything that my song and the fabulous version of Beyoncé can do to relieve racial tension would be somewhat great and fills me with pride, ”Macca added.

But this was not the only bond between the American and the legend of music, andthat the design of the outfit that Beyoncé used was made by Paul’s daughter, Stella McCartney.
