Miley Cyrus says that everyone blamed her for the marijuana that her father smoked in Hannah Montana’s set

During the recent episode of the family podcast Sorry we’re cyruspresented by his mother Tish Cyrus and his sister Brandi Cyrus, Miley Cyrus revealed an anecdotal – and fun – experience lived in the set of Hannah Montana (2006-2011). When asked about an iconic memory of those years, Miley responded without hesitation:
“Dad smoking marijuana and everyone blamed me for it.”
The statement caused immediate laughter in the study: Tish found him funny and Brandi exchanged an accomplice look with his sister. According to Miley, everyone on the set assumed that who smoked was her, not her father. And although Tish remembers having received alerts about Billy Ray, he always ruled out the idea, arguing that the true responsible was actor Mitchel Musso, who played Oliver Oken.
In the same talk, Miley also mentioned that both her father and Mitchel Musso would have consumed marijuana on the set. However, Musso declared Entertainment Weekly That this was not his experience, although he was open to share other stories of filming. This episode comes at a time of reconciliation in the Cyrus family. Miley also spoke in other media about the difficult time they lived after the separation of their parents in 2022, describing a period of “dark decade” in which they stopped communicating. Then, they decided to solve their differences, which even inspired a new song entitled “Secrets”which does not appear on your last album Subject Beautiful.
