Minecraft intercollegiales: they launch international school competition in Chile


The Globant company opened the call to participate in the 2025 edition of the Minecraft intercollegiales.
It is an educational tournament that uses the video game as a tool to enhance technological skills in young people from 12 to 15 years. Registration is free and is open until July 25.
Competition is part of the program The Inspire Garagewhich seeks to foster Stem vocations (those belonging to science, technology, mathematics and engineering) in adolescents in Latin America.
Students from ten cities may participate in this edition, including Santiago, Bogotá, Mexico City and Buenos Aires.
The tournament will take place between September and October in two phases:
– Local stage: The teams will recreate an official formula 1 circuit.
– International stage: The winners will design a street track inspired by their city, incorporating sustainability criteria.
Winning equipment can access Gamer Kits (keyboard, headphones, mouse and PAD), annual video game engine construct 3 and exclusive masterclass on development.
“The objective is to bring young people closer to the world of technology creation in a playful, collaborative and creative way,” said Francisco Michref, director of Public Affairs and Sustainability of Globant.
