Their bodies were found, in the last hours, in a field, close to the Forest Bridge. Paloma Gallardo, 16, and Josué Salvatierra, 14, were intensely sought since January 30.
“They had encounters in that place where, at night, there are people in street situations. In the crime scene a kind of improvised kitchens and some carpitas could be noticed ”said a source of the investigation by prosecutor Hernán Bustos Rivas, head of the UFI No. 5 of Florencio Varela, where the incident was recorded.
The bodies were found by a person who warned the police. The site is a few minutes walk from the houses of both victims, who attended the same school and were neighbors. The detectives believe that the homicides took the occasion and attacked them, although they do not rule out other hypotheses, such as sexual attack.
According to the sources, Joshua wore a backpack that was not found, as well as the cell phones of both and some money. Although it remains to know the result of the autopsy, which began to be done this morning, they believe they were killed the same day of the disappearance, that is, last Thursday. “Both have skull trauma”said the source consulted by this means.
In the crime scene, the experts noticed the presence of “a fairly heavy asphalt -like stone, stained with blood”, so they deduce that it would have been the element with which they caused death. They also found a bottle with blood remains at the base.
Now, researchers seek in public and private security cameras some indication of the authors. They also try to get testimonies and work on the reconstruction of the path made by the victims to get to that place.
They want to know, at the same time, if they made contact with someone in the area, to which the boys used to attend, according to the analysis of their communications, the sources said.
