IKEA launches a mystery podcast, in which employees participate | Brands

Ikea has joined one of the trends in content marketing, the podcast, with the launch of “The Man of the Thousand Faces”, available on various platforms: Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Ivoox, Google Podcasts and Amazon Music, with two Clear objectives: Increase knowledge as an employer brand that prevails talent and well -being, and even more strengthening the feeling of belonging and union of their team culture.

The plot combines fiction and reality. Throughout eight chapters, of approximately ten minutes each, the listeners enter a curious mystery: the disappearance of a Mayan necklace on the outskirts of an Ikea store. Has it been stolen? Has been lost? Or has it disappeared for some other reason?

Eight people of the Ikea team, with diverse profiles in terms of gender, age, and origin, lend their voice to the Podcast characters, sharing prominence with professional narrators.

“It is a podcast that in essence arises from who we are, but with a fictitious plot that already hooks that our own companions put voice, giving visibility to some of the benefits we offer in their day to day to do it better and better inside and outside Ikea, ”explains Virginia Garrido, director of Human Resources of the company in Spain.

Internal promotion programs to reinforce leadership and reach command positions; the paid leave that is added to official maternity/paternity permits; annual bonus; A specific protocol for victims of gender violence or well -being activities such as physiotherapy, medical service and mental health are some of the benefits that are transferred during the plot.
