A Spirituality on the way: key messages of the Pope to his world prayer network

The 2025 Jubilee: Prayer and Compassion in Action
Pope Francis has also entrusted us with a special mission within the framework of the 2025 Jubilee: helping people and communities to live this time of grace as a path in which prayer and compassion are conjugated inseparably. It has called us to promote a spirituality that unites prayer with the proximity to the latter, prayer with the works of mercy.
This jubilee is a unique opportunity to live a love that is expressed more in works than in words, a love that activates our Christian life in relation to brothers and sisters, especially the most vulnerable. It is a prayer that does not remain only in the personal sphere, but it drives us to meet others, to be instruments of God’s mercy in the world.
Pope’s prayer intentions: spiritual compass for the jubilee
In this way, the monthly prayer intentions of the Pope are a compass that guides us towards the realities that require our intercession and our commitment. These intentions, which reflect the needs of the world and the mission of the Church, invite us to open our hearts to the challenges of our time.
Know them, pray them in community, disseminate them and use the training materials offered by our international projects, such as Pope’s video and Click to praythey are concrete ways to respond to this call. To actively participate in this prayer network, either in our parochial groups, communities and movements, that is, it is already a way of living our faith in a compromised and supportive way during this time. That will transform our gaze and help us discern the concrete ways in which we are invited to serve, according to our contexts.
An invitation to local communities
In order to facilitate this spiritual experience during the jubilee, we have sent a letter to all episcopal conferences and the jubilee temples of Rome, in collaboration with the Dicastery for evangelization. In this letter, we invite local communities to integrate the intentions of prayer of the Holy Father in their jubilee activities. We have also remembered the importance of knowing these intentions through the official prayer platform of the Pope (www.clicktopray.org).
A time of grace and renewal
The 2025 jubilee, as the Pope explains in his bull Spes non confunditit is a particular grace time in which plenary indulgence is offered to those who live this path of faith, prayer and mercy. In this context, praying for the intentions of the Holy Father is a way of joining the universal mission of the Church and receiving thanks from this jubilee time.
As a worldwide network of prayer of the Pope, we renew our commitment to accompany people and communities in this spiritual path. We want to be a bridge that connects prayer with action, faith with life, the love of God with the needs of the world.
That Mary, our guide on this path, helps us to live this jubilee with an open heart and available to the will of God. And that the heart of Jesus, source of mercy and hope, drives us to witness his love in the world.
