The location of the Cessna 208b Grand Caravan plane operated by Bering Air that disappeared on Thursday while flying between Unalakleet and Nome in Alaska, remains a mystery.
On board there were nine passengers and a pilot, totaling ten people.
The aircraft lost contact shortly after taking off at 14:37 from Unalakleet, being last seen on Norton Sound around 15:16.

Aircraft: It was a Cessna 208b Grand Caravan with registration N321BA.
Route: It covered approximately 150 miles between Unalakleet and Nome
Climatic conditions: At the time of the incident, there was light and drizzle snow near Nome Airport with reduced visibility and forecasts of strong bursts.
Local authorities, including the US coastal guard and the Air Force, began an intensive search both terrestrial and aerial to locate the plane. Due to bad weather and low visibility, efforts are being complicated.
The equipment uses paths such as Iditarod, with dogs, to access remote areas.
