The mystery that terrifies SLP

In the colony San Felipe From Soledad de Graciano Sánchez some claim to have seen a woman dressed in white, wandering the lonely streets in the stillness of the potosine nights.
The ghostly bride, as is known in that municipality, is part of a mystery that has endured over the years and terrifies the inhabitants.
Her story awakens fear and at the same time fascination, but where does she come and who is she? Because while for some it is just a legend for others it is a reality of a tragic and dark past.

The legend, set at the beginning of the 20th century, tells the sad story of a woman who was killed when she was going to visit her fiance.
This young woman took her life by mistake while heading through the San Felipe neighborhood and since then her spirit wanders through the streets of the neighboring colonies such as Los Fresnos, San José and La Raza.
Although this story derives from a legend some neighbors claim to have seen her walking with her wedding dress and lamenting.
One of these witnesses was a merchant in the 1920s, who said he saw a girlfriend wandering near the temple of San Felipe de Jesús.

This famous legend is part of the book Legends Sodenses 2 of the authorship of the beloved architect Juan Sánchez Cabrera, released in January that also includes another 19 stories, five of them awarded by the legends contest.
According to the author, legends such as these help strengthen the sense of community and the identity of Soledad de Graciano, keeping alive this type of story generation stories.
Just as this legend there are other similar ones, but in this case it develops in the municipality of Catorce where it is told that a young woman who was about to marry lost her fiance in a tragic way for an accident of train.
Hearing the news went to his house and put on his wedding dress. After that day, people saw her wandering the streets, crying and lamenting.
Some time later she was found lifeless on the threshold of a house, so people were shocked for not knowing if when they saw her travel the streets with her dress she was already dead.
