Shakira closes touring Latin America with more than 1.3 million fans in 25 stadiums.

Miami, April 15 (Notistarz) .- Shakira, who has just been named by Billboard as the best Latin artist of all time, closed the first phase of his break-récords tour Women no longer cry World Tour with a second electrifying presentation at the Atanasio Girardot stadium in Medellín, Colombia.
This triumph came after getting No. 1 on the Top Tours of Billboard for the first time in his career, becoming the first Latin artist to achieve this record.
It was a weekend full of party. Shakira was accompanied on stage by life collaborators: Maluma, with a salsa and burning version of “blackmail”, Carlos Vives with his beloved anthem “The Bicycle”, and Luis Fernando Ochoa for a moving presentation of “Anthology”, a song they wrote and defined a whole generation.
During the presentations, Shakira dazzled with multiple costume changes, wearing personalized pieces of Zuhair Murad, Versace, Guarda Gupta and Jawara Alleyne, along with the exclusive traditional bracelets Bone of Tiffany & Co by Elsa Peretti, made for the first time in fine silver with Pavé diamonds and a hand engraving with the name of the tour.
His song list included fans’ favorites of his legendary catalog, including “Hips Don’t Lie”, “She Wolf”, “Anthology”, “Waka Waka” and more, as well as the most outstanding of their grammy winning album, women no longer cry, including “Session 53”, “TQG”, “Monotony”, and “I congratulate you”.
The tour began on Tuesday, February 11 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, at the Nilton Santos stadium and continued with completely exhausted shows in Barranquilla, Buenos Aires, Guadalajara.
The highlight of women no longer cry World Tour by Latin America: 25 stadium presentations; 1.3 million attendees; 7 shows totally exhausted in Mexico City, being the first artist to achieve this event in this stadium.
Shakira was the first artist in Colombia’s history to perform in 6 stages throughout the country.
The tour has achieved a significant economic impact throughout Latin America, particularly in Mexico, where its return attracted 455,000 fans to the GNP Seguros stadium.
The shows generated an important boost to the local economy, the Ministry of Tourism reported an occupation of hotels in the capital that reached 66% during the dates of its tour – a 5% increase over the regular average.
In Colombia, around 18,500 works were created and hotel occupancy increased by up to 95% in cities such as Barranquilla, Medellín and Bogotá.
It also caused an increase in travel activity, with a 41.5% increase in flight demands and 47% in lodging searches for several platforms such as taking off.
In Argentina, searches to attend the concert were fired by 400%, which demonstrated the incomparable expectation that his return brought.
Next month, Shakira will start the stage by North America of his tour, starting Tuesday 13 in Charlotte, NC at the Bank of America Stadium. She has promised great surprises, including the appearance of Wyclef Jean in Charlotte and Boston, to touch her emblematic Hips Don’t Lie success.
The tour will reach the cities of Montreal, Detroit, Boston, Orlando, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and more. Due to the great demand, two dates were recently added on New Jersey (Metlife Stadium) and in Miami (Hard Rock Stadium).
After finishing the tour of North America, Shakira will return to Mexico for 13 other presentations in the region, added recently due to the overwhelming demand of fans.
