Selena Gómez will be awarded with the 2025 Women’s Prize awarded by Billboard

Miami, Apr 16 (EFE). The singer and actress Selena Gómez will receive the 2025 Women’s Prize in the annual celebration of Latin women in Billboard music, the event organizers announced on Wednesday.
The woman’s recognition of the year, which will be delivered in Miami, is granted to a female artist who has demonstrated exceptional success, leadership and cultural influence in the music industry and beyond.
Shakira and Karol G are among the Latinas that have received the prize.
The artist, born in Texas, of Mexican father and American mother, has had a presence in all genres in Billboard lists, including a total of 42 entries in the Billboard Hot 100.
In the Hot Latin Songs list, its ‘Taki Taki’ theme of DJ Snake stands out, along with Ozuna and Cardi B, which debuted at number 1 in October 2018, where it remained in the first place for 13 weeks, said the magazine in a press release.
With just 32 years, Gomez has had a fruitful career both in music and in performance. In the 97th edition of the Oscar he was invited to present one of the awards.
Gomez was part of the musical ‘Emilia’, by French director Jacques Audiard. He began his career at 10 years and acquired popularity with the series ´The Waverly Place´ sorcerers, where he performed several of the musical themes.
