Becky G and Miley Cyrus will release their documentaries

Subject Beautiful and Rebecca are the titles that will arrive in June

The Tribeca Festival revealed its official program for the 2025 editionwith a strong presence of music -centered productions. Among the outstanding projects are Documentaries of Becky G and Miley Cyrus, both selected to present themselves in June in New York.

The documentary Rebecca (Aka Becky G) portrays the process of creating a new album in which the singer enters the Mexican regional genre. According to the organization of the festival, this work is part of “its most ambitious project” and seeks to explore its cultural roots.

For its part, Miley Cyrus will present Something Beautiful, a visual album described as a “pop opera” composed of thirteen new songs. In this production, the artist assumes multiple roles as director, screenwriter and producer, along with her usual creative team.

Billy Joel, Metallica and Depeche Mode are also part of the poster

In addition to the projects of Becky G and Miley Cyrus, Tribeca 2025 will have other musical documentaries dedicated to figures such as Billy Joel, Metallica, Depeche Mode, Counting Crows, Culture Club, Billy Idol, Eddie Vedder, Wizkid and Ty Dolla Sign.

The inaugural projection will be in charge of Billy Joel: and So It Goes, a review of the New York singer’s career. This musical section consolidates Tribeca as a relevant platform for audiovisual productions on the music industry.

According to the official statement, the festival received approximately 13,500 applications, of which 118 titles were selected. Founded in 2001 by Robert De Niro, Tribeca has established itself as a global showcase of independent cinema.

Tribeca will also include social, political and Hollywood cinema

Tribeca 2025 will also address social and political themes. The closing documentary will be Yanuni, co -produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, focused on the defense of indigenous territories in the Brazilian Amazon.

In the programming, productions starring recognized actors from Hollywood. Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick will act together for the first time in two decades in Tow: The Best You Can. Orlando Bloom and Bryce Dallas Howard star in Deep Cover, while Lucy Liu heads Rosemead’s cast.

George Clooney participates as a producer in Surviving Ohio Statedocumentary about victims of sexual abuse. Amy Schumer produces Room to Move, based on the life of choreographer Jenn Freeman.

The twenty -fourth edition of the Tribeca Festival will be held from June 4 in New York. The event will also offer talks, immersive experiences and interactive content about video games and digital innovation.
