Shakira is still unstoppable! The Colombian superstar announced on Monday (April 7) four more dates for its historic world tour women no longer cry in Mexico, so it exceeds their own record and accumulates 26 concerts in the Latin American country. The new headquarters that will house their show are the cities of Tijuana, Hermosillo, Chihuahua and Torreón, the Occa promoter company reported in a statement.
“Due to the enormous demand and cultural impact that Shakira has in Mexico, four new dates are added to the return of the artist in August. This second stage of her tour in the country will lead her to tour new territories, playing every corner to meet her pack with her herd and get to where her fans are,” said the promoter.
In this way, Shakira will take his show north of the country, playing on August 11 at the Tijuana Hot Stadium, Baja California; on August 14 at the Heroes stadium in Nacozari, in Hermosillo, Sonora; on August 17 at the UACH Stadium, in Chihuahua; and on August 20 at the Corona stadium, in Torreón, Coahuila.
After making history with seven consecutive presentations exhausted at the GNP Seguros stadium, women no longer cry World Tour will return to Mexico City to complete another series of four concerts on August 26, 27, 29 and 30, for a total of 11. That will turn Shakira into the first artist to achieve such a number of dates on that important enclosure (formerly called Forum Sol).
Shakira, who has added dates to the tour as he continues to deplete tickets, now equals the record of seven dates in the GNP Seguros stadium with Grupo Firm, which is preparing to give his eighth presentation there on June 28.
The success of his monumental tour of stadiums has led to the interpreter of “Hips Don’t Lie” to head the Top Tours of Billboard February, when he began his journey in Brazil, becoming the first Latin woman alone to achieve it. Shakira’s tour has left an indelible mark in Latin America, managing to gather more than one million viewers, according to Ocesa.
The Barranquillera was also appointed by Billboard No. 1 among the 50 best Latin artists of all time last month.
