Tina Knowles, Beyoncé’s mother, reveals that she had breast cancer

In a recent interview with People, Tina Knowlesmother of Beyoncé and Solange KnowlesHe revealed that he faced a diagnosis of breast cancer, which he kept secret until now.
During the talk, the fashion designer admitted that in the Covid-19 pandemic he lacked her routine mammography appointment and did not reprogram her until last year.
When the check was finally made, The doctors found two tumors in their left bosom. One was benign, the other, cancerous in stage 1.
“I’ve always tried to take care of me. I just couldn’t believe it,” said Tina, who explained that if mammography had been done in time, cancer would have been detected at an even earlier stage. “
Fortunately, although the diagnosis occurred late, tumors had not spread and were classified as slow growth. In August 2024, Tina underwent a lumpectomy to remove the tumor and is currently free of cancer.
“I entered there feeling as if God had protected me,” he added.
But his way did not end there. A few months after surgery, Tina faced a post -surgical infection that almost prevented him from attending the Women’s Awards of the year 2024 of glamor, where she would be honored. At that time, it was his daughter Beyoncé who noticed that his mother was not well and urged her not to attend the ceremony.
“He told me: ‘Your health is more important. Don’t go ‘“Tina recalled.
Despite the warning, Tina decided to attend the event, a symbolic act for her, not only to celebrate her new life opportunity, but also to accept an award that, for years, had rejected.
