The CDMX was transformed. The streets, regularly gray, were dyed in pastel colors, led lights, wigs and striking attire to welcome Katy Perry, who tonight starts their world tour The Lifetime.

But what attracts the most attention is the amount of fans -also known as Katycats -that they hope to see their star live.

Such is the Cado de Jesús Medrano, who was inspired by the residence that Perry made in Las Vegas for his outfit: a giant fungus.
But, for the young man, being a fan of Katy goes far beyond having fun with his music and his peculiar looks; It is about being a community and above all being.

“It gives me positivism. It is not that I have saved me from a hard moment, but her music always uploads my mood. Teenage Dream is my anthem,” says Gabriela.
