Santo Domingo. – A little more than two months after the program The Report with Alicia Ortega will present the complaints of several investors who paid thousands of dollars to the construction company Novasco Real Estatewithout receiving the promised property, this Friday the MPublic Inisterio and next to the DNCD launched Operation Guepardo.
The Attorney General reported that in the operations, carried out in Santo Domingo Este, the National District, La Romana and La Altagracia, Two of the structure leaders were arrested, identified as Marisol Nova Nolasco and Rocío del Alba Rodríguez de Moya, while two other people are fugitives.
During eleven simultaneous raids that began early Friday the authorities also reported that they seized propertieshigh -end vehicles, electronic devices, models, documentation related to the operations of the criminal network that according to the Prosecutor’s Office was dedicated to the electronic fraud, money laundering, affecting hundreds of victims, receiving benefits for more than 18 million of dollars.
To commit the illicit, the prosecution says that the structure created the company Novasco Real Estate, SRL, and later acquired the renowned real estate franchise Re/Max with the aim of capturing customers.
At the beginning of December, the report with Alicia Ortega revealed that despite the fact that the company Novasco Real Estate, received payments for several months, the land in Punta Cana, where the apartments would be supposedly built and without a trace of construction.
The two detained people will be made available to justice in the next few hours.
