Alejandro Sanz reveals the secrets of how ‘Besame’ was born, his new collaboration with Shakira

In an interview that singer Alejandro Sanz has offered Billboard, has talked about how he was born ‘Kiss me’. Sanz explained that he was talking to the Colombian artist for a long time about a possible new collaboration: “We had talked and I always joked about her when we were going to make another song: ‘As soon as you do songs with handsome and talented boys.”
However, he confesses that at the beginning it cost them to focus the issue: “We hadn’t found the song with which we were both identified”. Despite this initial challenge, they finally managed to find the point in common that has allowed them to launch ‘Kiss me’.
Due to its tight agendas, They could not match the study to record the subject. Both composition and recording were made at a distance. Even so, the result reflects the chemistry that continues to exist between both artists.
Sanz also talked about the fear that he felt for not being up to the previous success that Shakira and El: “After a song like ‘The torture’ it was difficult for us to find the reason to get together. We did not want to be evident or give two tablespoons of the same. At the same time we wanted the new spoonful to know sweet.”
In that same interview, Alejandro Sanzhe wanted to talk about the process of getting a song and interpreting it live in the future concert: “When you write a song you are really portraying a moment and you leave it there”. For him, singing in a concert implies reviving that emotional moment: “What we do the composers and musicians is to leave photographs of moments and then, when you are going to sing it, in a concert you have to put yourself in that situation, you revive it.”

Almost 20 years ago, Alejandro Sanz and Shakira launched in collaboration ‘La Tortura’a song included in the album of the Colombian singer ‘Oral fixation, Vol. 1’ in 2005. This issue not only reached number one position in several lists, but also accumulated millions of reproductions, becoming a real global success. Six years later, in 2011, the artists rejoined their voices in ‘I thank you, but not’a song included in the album ‘Definitive Collection (Deluxe)’ by Alejandro Sanz.
New album and turns ‘And now, what?’
In a publication of Instagram, The Madrid artist revealed the list of the Six songs that make up This new work, which since May 23 can be heard whole. The themes ‘Palmeras in the garden’played alone, and ‘I don’t feel good today’in collaboration with the Border Group, they are included in this album.
Songs like ‘The wine of your mouth’, ‘That’s love’ alone, ‘What would it be like?’ Together with Manuel Turizo and ‘Kiss me’ In collaboration with Shakira, they are all the songs that complete Alejandro Sanz’s last studio album, to date.
Now, after launching this last job, Sanz had already announced his tour ‘And now what?’which will travel Mexico from September 4 in Puebla until October 18when it will culminate in Villahermosa.
