Alternate routes to attend the Shakira concert in New Jersey before NJ Transit strike

This Monday it was announced that NJ Transit will not offer trains and bus services for Shakira’s concert at the New Jersey Metlife.
The decision will affect thousands of attendees who planned to use public transport. This decision arises due to the possibility of a railway strike between the NJ Transit and an engineers union.
According to Telemundo, and in response to contingency, the Metlife suggests transport alternatives for concerts scheduled for May 15 and 16.
Alternate routes
COACH USA bus service
- Route: From Port Authority to Metlife Stadium.
- Tickets: anticipated purchase necessary for 351 Express (available in a specific link).
- Amount of buses: more than 300 available.
- Hours: Start: 4:30 pm from Area X of the Port Authority (41st Street between 8 and 9).
- Last bus: leaves the King K of the Metlife Stadium 60 minutes after the event.
Shared transport
If you will use a private transport service such as Uber, remember that the strike could cause delays due to traffic increase. Prices can increase before and after the event.
The waiting times will be up to 2 hours after the event, as an alternative to avoid traffic you can visit the American Dream Mall, which offers food and entertainment.
Considerations
If you travel by private car, attendees are recommended to share a vehicle and arrive early to avoid traffic. They also report that there will be scheduled closure from 9 pm in tunnels and bridges.
It is important to mention that the concert schedules are: Parking opening at 2:30 pm, start of the Coach bus service use at 4:30 pm, opening doors at 6:00 pm and beginning of the concert at 7:30 pm
