American musicians defend Taylor Swift and Springsteen after Trump criticism

The United States Musicians Federation came out in defense of Taylor Swift and Bruce Springsteen, who were subject to harsh criticism by President Donald Trump

The United States Federation of Musicians came out in defense of Taylor Swift and Bruce Springsteen, who were subject to harsh criticism by President Donald Trump. In a statement, the president of the guild, Tino Gagliard, highlighted the trajectory and cultural impact of both artists, qualifying them as “models to follow and inspiration for millions worldwide.”

Gagliard stressed that Swift and Springsteen music has a deep meaning and that musicians have the right to freedom of expression, thus showing solidarity with its members.

Trump’s criticisms occurred in the midst of his Middle East tour, after Springsteen described his government as “corrupt, incompetent and traitor” during a concert in the United Kingdom. Trump responded by calling the musician “arrogant arrogant” and suggested that he should “keep her mouth closed” until he returns to the United States.

On the other hand, Trump also referred to Taylor Swift, stating that “he is no longer popular” and noting that since he expressed his “hatred” towards the singer, his fame has decreased.

It should be noted that both Swift and Springsteen have expressed their support for Democrats in the recent 2024 presidential elections, elections in which Trump was a winner.
