There is a lot of cloth to cut with what is seen in the trailer. In principle perhaps the most striking is the appearance of the protagonists of classical history: Dorothy, the tin man, the lion, the scarecrow and of course Toto, the dog.
It is striking because they are the ones who end up with the “wicked witch,” the protagonist of these films.
In the original novel, they defeat her throwing a bucket of water, leaving her only her shoes. We will have to see how they solve it in the story of now.
It will also be to be seen how they resolve the presence of Glinda, who for the events of the novel already holds the title of “The good witch of the East”
You can also see in the trailer the “media” persecution made by the Western Oz Wizard of the Western Witch. Also as this is positioned as the main villain of the film.
There is no release date available yet, but it is known that the first and second film were recorded of a pull (first it was thought to get a single movie, which was then divided into two). Therefore, it would not be surprise if we see it next June, in 2026.
