Authorities’ statement

A Syrian teenager has been formally accused in Germany for his alleged involvement in a frustrated terrorist attack against Taylor Swift’s concerts in Vienna during his successful ‘The Eras Tour’. The German Federal Prosecutor’s Office identified the suspect as Mohammad A., who allegedly collaborated with another young man in the preparation of the attack.

According to the statement released this Friday, Mohammad A. would have adopted the ideology of the Islamic State Terrorist Group (EI) DIt is at least April 2024. Between July and August of that same year, he maintained contact with an Austrian young man who planned to detonate a bomb during one of the American pop star shows at the Ernst Happel in Vienna stadium.

Taylor Swift had scheduled three presentations in Vienna between August 8 and 10, 2024, but the concerts were canceled the day before its start. The promoter Barracuda Music announced the cancellation after the official confirmation of an attack planensuring the full return of the entries.

At that time, the Austrian authorities arrested two suspects, including a 19 -year -old. The CIA came to declare that the objective of the attack was to kill “tens of thousands of people.”

The artist also thanked the authorities for avoiding a tragedy and praised the spirit of her fans in Vienna, who gathered in the streets despite the cancellation, singing and sharing friendship bracelets.
