Barbra Streisand announces a new Duestos album – Rock & Pop

Barbra Streisand announced a new album entitled “The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume Two“, which includes collaborations with Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Hozier And more. Listen to the main single below.
The album is the expected sequel to the successful 2014 album of the iconic singer, “partners”, and will be launched through Columbia on June 27. Visit here to book it.
Barbra Streisand announces album full of stars
The album includes 11 songs, in which the legendary vocalist collaborates with great names of different generations. Paul McCartneyfor example, collaborates in “My Valentine“, Bob Dylan sings in”The see thought of you” and Josh Groban Star “WHERE DO I GO FROM YOU? “
Other great figures that appear are Sting, James Taylor, Sam Smith, Seal, Tim McGraw and Laufey. The sixth song of the list, “One Heart, One Voice,” will see Streisand collaborate with Mariah Carey and Ariana Grande.
This Wednesday, Streisand celebrated the album’s announcement sharing the main single, “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face“. This single opens the album and it is a collaboration with Hozier. Listen to it below.

“Barbra Streisand is one of the longest and iconic vocalists of our time, and someone who defined an era with the strength of his voice, his talent, charisma and vision,” said Hozier in a statement. “That they asked me to join her in a duet was a great honor and a wonderful and pleasant surprise.”
On the choice of the song they versioned, he added: “‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’ by Ewan Maccoll, popularized by the impressive recording of Roberta Flack, has always intrigued me. For me, it is one of the most beautiful love songs ever written“Like so many, I was deeply saddened to know about his recent death. In addition to the honor I have to sing on this album with Barbra, I hope this duet is a tribute to the incredible legacy of Roberta Flack. According to a new description, the title of the album was inspired in part in a photograph taken by the barbra daughter -in -law, Kathryn Boyd Brolin, who captures his cheerful expression while observing his granddaughters.

The album’s orchestrations were carried out by William Ross and David Campbell, and was produced by the Grammy Walter Aganasieff and Peter Asher winners, as well as by the A&A executive Jay Landers and Streisand herself.
