President Donald Trump used his social truth social network to launch strong criticism against 2 important figures of American music: Taylor Swift and Bruce Springsteen
In the messages, the president lashed again against the artists due to his political positions and his activism.
Trump questioned Swift’s popularity and mentioned that the singer’s influence has decreased since he began talking about political issues.
“What has Taylor Swift done lately?”, “Before it was relevant, now it’s just another progressive celebrity trying to tell people how to live their life,” he wrote.
“Have you noticed that since I said ‘I hate Taylor Swift’ she is no longer so popular?”
Swift’s criticisms of Trump began in 2018, when the singer supported Democratic candidates in Tennessee. On that occasion, he said that he could not remain silent at what he considered discriminatory policies of the then president.

Bruce Springsteen was also mentioned by the president and that is that during a recent concert in Manchester, the legendary artist described Trump’s administration as “corrupt, incompetent and traitorous,” and criticized the country’s course under his leadership.
