“It’s a great night. Children are here, Jen’s children are here. I’m very excited,” said Affleck, 52, Entertainment Tonight Wednesday, April 16. “I am proud of the movie, I love the movie and I love it when all children come out. It’s really fun. It’s exciting.”
After the media pointed out that it is “really great” that Affleck has “continued those relationships,” Affleck replied: “Listen, I don’t read things online much, sometimes I have the feeling that people perpetuate this idea of, I don’t know, they want to find something negative to talk about.”
“To record, Jennifer Lopez is spectacular, it’s great with my children, he has a great sustained relationship with them,” he continued. “I love her children. They are wonderful. She is a greatly important person, tremendous and of great integrity to whom I adore and for which I am grateful.”
Affleck said he is “excited” that both his and Lopez’s children are with him. (Affleck is Violet’s father, 19, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 13, whom he had with his ex -wife Jennifer Garner. Lopez, meanwhile, shares 17 -year -old twins, Max and Emme, with his ex -husband Marc Anthony.
“The relationships you can have with children like that is the joy of my life,” said Affleck. “And those children are incredible, and I’m glad that this is a movie that they want to come.”
After the media pointed out that Affleck is “a very good dad,” he replied, “I try the best I can. I certainly do.”
Affleck’s comments arrive a year after their marriage to Lopez, 55, ended. While Lopez filed the divorce demand in August 2024 on his second wedding anniversary, his separation date was recorded in April 2024. The divorce was completed in January.
Affleck’s comments come after he spoke openly for the first time about the end of his relationship with Lopez in the history of April of April GQ. Affleck told the environment that there is no “scandal, or soap opera, or intrigue” regarding its breakup, adding, “there is no one, ‘this is what happened’. It is only a story about people trying to discover their lives and relationships of the way we all usually do it.”
