Blake Lively has requested a legal protection order to prevent his private messages with Taylor Swift being filtered within the framework of his legal dispute with Justin Baldoni, his co -star and director at IT Ends With Us.
According to reports, Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, asked the judge to classify these communications as “only for lawyers’ eyes”, arguing that their dissemination could cause “irreparable damage” due to the high media value of the messages, especially for involving high profile figures as swift.
The request was presented to concerns that Baldoni’s team can filter the texts to the press, what Lively considers a tactic to generate media attention.
For his part, Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman, described the measure as “unnecessary” and said that there is already a standard protection order that avoids the filtration of sensitive information.
Previously, Freedman claimed that Lively had tried to press Swift to publicly support her on the dispute, threatening to disseminate private messages, although a judge dismissed these accusations for considering them “improper” and “irrelevant”.
The case, which includes cross claims between Lively and Baldoni for accusations of sexual harassment, defamation and extortion, is scheduled to go to trial in March 2026.
