According to what Shakira herself shared on her social networks, andThe incident was due to failures in the infrastructure provided by an external companyin charge of installing both the scenario and the roof that holds part of its production.
“Due to a structural problem with an armor provided by this external company to sustain my stage, we are forced to reprogram my show with exhausted tickets in San Antonio, originally planned for tonight,” said the artist, who also revealed that she had already had inconveniences with the same company for her presentation in Bostonwhich motivated his team to make additional evaluations.
“After a problem with the structure in Boston, I personally demanded the incorporation of a new group of engineers … They promised me that they had reinforced the structure, but after a detailed review today, it was determined that it was not safe to continue,” explained the Barranquilla.
So far a new date for the canceled concert has not been announced. However, the artist has already confirmed that the next shows in Houston will be carried out as planned, generating uncertainty among the spectators in San Antonio.
