By Uber Falla, a Shakira fan walks 40 minutes to get to Hard Rock Stadium – Telemundo Miami (51)

Several attendees to the Shakira concert last weekend ended up in remote neighborhoods, confused and, in some cases, they had to take additional transport to reach the event.

Although Hard Rock Stadium confirmed that it has not changed its access policy for travel services such as Uber and Lyft.

One of those affected was Mauricio Montealegre, who related his experience: “The Uber left me in a very strange neighborhood. I didn’t know what was happening. I got off the car and came a man with a cart and said ‘Hard rock to here’, and I said, well, let’s go.”

Montealegre explained that, upon arrival, a man asked him for $ 15 to take him in a golf cart from a nearby neighborhood to the immediate vicinity of the stadium. “He left me in front of Turnpike and I had to walk to the hard rock like 20 minutes,” he added.

The situation has generated complaints on social networks, where other users reported similar experiences. An assistant marked the official direction of the stadium – located on Avenida 27 – but was left by its driver on 37 avenue, more than 3 kilometers away.

Montealegre was blunt: “If I have to take an uber for the hard rock again, I don’t.”

Hard Rock Stadium officials indicated that the official arrival and exit point of Uber and Lyft remains the 30th parking lot, located on Avenida 27. They assured that the area is well illuminated and has been used stable by these platforms.

“At first I was nervous, but they are things that happen. It is part of the story,” Montealegre concluded.

So far, Uber has not responded to requests for comments to explain why so many users were left in erroneous locations.

This incident occurs just when the stadium prepares to receive thousands of visitors during the FIFA 2026 Club World Cup. The authorities will be attentive to prevent the problem from being repeated.
