Candace Cameron Bure can’t wait to do more mystery movies

Candace Cameron Bure is returning to familiar ground with her new mystery series AINSLEY MCGREGOR MYSTERIES, a franchise she is extremely excited to kick off.
“I love the mystery genre and I played a character in many, many films over 10 years. So going back to the mystery genre, I really wanted to find a character that felt different, one that I could resonate with, and also have the dynamics of the other relationships be really interesting to me,” Bure told TV Line.
“I love that Ainsley McGregor is a criminologist, so by trade she’s trying to solve mysteries. She teaches at a university, and then she’s also this woman who is an entrepreneur. She opened her own business called Bless Your Arts, which I loved. It’s a craft store. It’s like Etsy in real life, so all the people in the community sell their homemade crafts and all kinds of different things,” Bure continued. “I love that about her and I felt like she was really different.”
The AINSLEY MCGREGOR MYSTERIES franchise kicked off earlier this week with A CASE FOR THE WINEMAKER. This film introduced the franchise’s main character, Ainsely, who returns to her small hometown in Texas after spending years in Chicago as a successful criminologist. Part of the Movieguide® review says:
AINSLEY MCGREGOR MYSTERIES: A CASE FOR THE WINEMAKER is a well produced and enjoyable film with high quality performances. The film has a strong moral worldview with Christian values. For example, it promotes healthy relationships, truth and justice. A CASE FOR THE WINEMAKER does not contain rude or obscene content. However, it does feature a murder mystery, although there is minimal blood and violence. MOVIEGUIDE® advises caution for younger children.
Great American Family has big plans for the characters, as they’ve already filmed the second movie, and Bure is working on the franchise’s third and fourth stories.
