The President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, congratulated Donald Trump through his social networks, after taking office as President of the United States.
Sheinbaum was not required to attend the inauguration held in Washington DC, but she sent a message to her North American counterpart. In her short message, the president reiterated that they must maintain a good relationship because they are “neighbors” on the border and are important commercial partners.
