Criticism of Shakira’s wax figure that became compared to its imitator: “Shakibecca must be happy for such recognition”

Through their social networks, The Mexico Wax Museum shared an image of the statue dedicated to Colombian singer Shakirawhich is in its facilities for the enjoyment of the public.

“See you in the museum with Shakira”read in the description of the publication in which the figure of the “Waka Waka” interpreter is seen very smiling with her hands at the waist.

Although the Barranquilla artist looks with her characteristic curly hair wearing a golden outfit, Internet users were not completely convinced with their appearance and filled the publication with comments in this regard.

“Did anyone find Shakira in the statue?”a person wrote. While another Internet user commented that such representation “is a disrespect” towards the artist.

Even many of the singer’s followers came to compare the appearance of the figure with her international ‘double’ known as “Shakibecca”.

“That lack of respect on the part of this museum is not similar to the Colombian artist, she resembles the singer’s imitator. They should consider improving the statue”a person wrote.

To this same line, comments from other users such as “Shakibecca are breaking it” or “Shakibecca must be happy for such recognition” were joined.

The figure is located in the Mexico Wax Museum where, according to its information on the official website, there is a collection of more than 260 wax figures with a realistic aspect.

The place has 14 rooms set themeatically where there are national and international characters dedicated to entertainment, shows, music, sport, culture, politics, among others.

Shakira is not the only Colombian who has been recreated by a wax figure by the mouth, because his compatriot Carlos Vives also enjoys a representation in the facilities.
