What began as a demand for work harassment between two protagonists of Hollywood, ended up splashing one of the most powerful entertainment figures: Taylor Swift. The legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, unleashed during the production of ‘It Ends With Us’, climbed until the singer was reached, which was cited as a witness and then officially removed from the process. Swift’s inclusion in the dispute was not less. In Baldoni’s counter -pride, it was claimed that the artist would have attended a key meeting in which Lively allegedly exerted pressure to change the screenwriter. That meeting was the legal pretext to quote Swift, but his team responded strongly: he had no contractual or creative link with the film. The judge ended up withdrawing the citation and warned Baldoni’s lawyer that his conduct could be sanctioned by abuse of the judicial system. However, personal repercussions did not stop there. Although Swift will not have to testify, the court did authorize Baldoni’s legal team to access his messages with Blake Lively, in search of evidence that supports the accusations of sabotage or coercion. According to sources close to Swift cited by ‘Page Six’ and ‘Us Weekly’, the singer felt used by her friend, and the scandal could have ended a friendship of more than ten years. Both shared trips, public collaborations and mutual support for almost the whole last decade. Now, its relationship seems suspended by judicial tension and loss of confidence. What is clear is that, although it is no longer on the bench, Taylor Swift has been trapped in the middle of a case that puts into play not only reputations, but also personal ties that seemed unwavering.
