Donald Trump attacks again against Taylor Swift: “She is no longer popular”

Washington, USA – The president of the United States, Donald Trump, again generated controversy this Friday by launching new criticism against singer Taylor Swift. Through her Truth Social platform, Trump hinted that the artist has lost popularity since he publicly expressed her rejection of her.
“Did anyone notice that, since I said ‘I hate Taylor Swift!’, She is no longer ‘fashionable’?” The president wrote on May 16.
The statements are added to a series of attacks by the president towards the pop star, which began after the 2024 presidential elections, when Swift expressed support for the then vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
An increasingly personal conflict
In a message posted during the 2024 campaign, Swift said on his Instagram account where he has more than 284 million followers who would vote for Kamala Harris, whom he described as “a firm leader who fights for the rights and causes that a warrior need.” This political position unleashed the fury of the then Republican candidate, who responded sharply: “I hate Taylor Swift.”
Trump also assured in later interviews that the singer “will probably pay a high price in the market” for her political position. Although in the past he had praised Swift’s appearance and talent, his opinion changed radically after the political involvement of the artist.
Accusations for use of AI and boos in the Super Bowl
The confrontation climbed when Swift publicly accused Trump’s campaign team to use false images generated by artificial intelligence to pretend his political support. Trump downplay the accusation, claiming that the content was “created by other people.”
More recently, during the Super Bowl Lix, Swift was booed by the public while attending the game with his partner, the Kansas player City Chiefs Travis Kelce. Trump did not miss the opportunity to make fun in networks:
“The only one that had a harder night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. They booed her to leave the stadium! Maga doesn’t forgive!”
Celebrities also react against Trump
The week has been marked by criticism of Trump from the artistic field. During the Cannes Film Festival, actor Robert De Niro described the president as a “Philistine President” who has “removed support for art and education.” In his speech, the actor defended art as a tool for truth and diversity.
Likewise, the musician Bruce Springsteen dedicated heavy words against the president’s management during a concert in Manchester, calling his government of “corrupt, incompetent and traitor.”
Swift is still a weight figure
Despite criticism, Taylor Swift is still one of the most influential artists in the world. Recently ended its successful tour The Eras Tour, which raised more than 2,000 million dollars according to Forbes, and its assets exceeds 1.6 billion dollars.
