Education, creativity and technology: the challenge in Minecraft that will reward students from Chile’s schools

  • In the third edition of the Minecraft Intercollegiales, an educational and technological challenge, adolescents between 12 to 15 years of schools in Santiago de Chile and other cities from five countries in the region will seek to enhance digital skills, teamwork and creativity.
  • The competition will take place between September and October 2025 and consists of two stages: a place, where the teams will compete with other schools in their city, recreating an official F1 circuit, and an international, in which the winning teams of each local tournament must design from scratch a street track inspired by their city, incorporating sustainability elements.

  • The registration is free and free, and the awards range from gamers kits for each team member (headphones, keyboard, mousepad and mouse gamer model/brand) to annual licenses of the Construct 3 engine and masterclass on video game development based on Construct 3.

Chile, June 2025 – Globant, (NYSE: GLOB), a digital native company that offers innovative technology services, opened the call for a new intercollegial competition in Minecraft, as part of the Inspire Garage program, in which it seeks to inspire adolescents to study Stem races. It should be clarified that the Unicorn company has more than 1300 collaborators in Chile, and offices in Santiago – on the Costanera Center – and in Viña del Mar.

In this context, Chilean students and from five other Latin American countries (Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay) will be able to participate in the competition in which they will have to design and build career clues – officials and unofficial – inspired by Formula 1 circuits, using the environment of the popular Minecraft video game as a creation platform.

The competition will take place between September and October 2025 and will consist of two stages:

  • Local tournament, where teams will compete with other schools in their city, recreating an official F1 circuit.

  • International Tournament, in which the winning teams of each local tournament must design from scratch a street track inspired by their city, incorporating sustainability elements.

The proposals will be evaluated by a jury composed of professionals in the technological sector, in the offices of Globant de Santiago, located in the iconic Costanera Center.

“The objective is to bring young people closer to the world of technology creation in a playful, collaborative and creative way, developing skills such as design, teamwork and problem solving,” said Francisco Michref, director of the Public Affairs and Sustainability Area of ​​Globant.

Adolescents from the following cities can participate: Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Tandil, Tucumán, Santiago, Chile, Bogotá, Medellín, Mexico City, Montevideo and Lima. Registration will be open until July 25, 2025.

Each team must have a responsible guardian, who will be the adult responsible for registering their only team through the official website of the intercollegiales.
